This firm's 144-Mb Rambus DRAM is used in its 64-MB RIMMs to support its 72-Mb RDRAM components. The Rambus memory standard provides a bandwidth of up to 1.6-GB/s for computers based on the latest chipsets. Based on the 144-Mb and 72-Mb RDRAM components, Infineon Technologies will offer 64-MB, 96-MB, 128-MB, and 256-MB RIMMs operating at 600-, 711- or 800-MHz data rates this year. All components and modules come with or without error correction (ECC).
