To help expand its share of the wireless portable communication device market, the company has expanded its ComboMemory family with three application-specific memory devices (ASMDs) that are claimed to represent highly-integrated flash memory and SRAM solutions. The SST32VF802 combines 8 Mb of flash memory with 2 Mb of SRAM. The SST32VF162 offers 16 Mb of flash memory with 2 Mb of SRAM and the SST32VF164 combines 16 Mb of flash with 4 Mb of SRAM in a multi-chip package. ComboMemory products feature a standby current of 10 µA, an active current of 15 mA, fast chip-rewrite times of 8s to 15s typical, and a 2-Kword sector erase capability. The SST32VF802 costs $10.50, the SST32VF162 is $13.50, and the SST32VF164 costs $15.50, each/100,000.
