Through a partnership with Hyundai Electronics Industries, the company has developed a line of mixed-signal ASICs that include up to 4 Mb of flash memory embedded onto the chip. The blocks of flash can be used to store programs, configuration information, and identification code, as well as to trim data storage for use after power-down/power-up cycles.
Requiring a single 5V supply, the ASICs' architecture provides a register interface to the user's logic, with low-level erase and program functions handled by the flash control circuitry. Other features of the embedded flash ASICs includes both 3.3V and 5V I/Os in the dual-gate process, SRAM and ROM available in various densities, and support for for over one million usable gates of digital logic.
