Sporting performance enhancements, a family of 333-MHz network FCRAMs features a 66% increase in bandwidth and up to 20% faster access times compared to the company’s existing devices. The TC59LM818DMB network FCRAMs support random access times of 20 ns and random cycle times up to 666 Mb/s at a 333 MHz clock speed. They provide an extra two bits for error detection or correction, making them suitable for use as buffer and table memory in high-speed networking applications. Offered in 288 Mb densities, the devices are configured as 4M words x 4 banks x 18 bits and are available in three speeds with cycles times of 3 ns, 3.3 ns and 4 ns. They operate from a 2.5V power supply and with a 1.8V I/O interface (SSTL1.8). Housed in a 15 x 4, 60-ball BGA, the high-speed FCRAMs are priced at $45 each.
