Unveiled as the industry’s first 183-MHz double data rate synchronous Mobile-RAM (DDR366), the company's memory chip offers a capacity of 512 Mb in a 60-ball FBGA package with an operating voltage of 1.8V. Complying with JEDEC DDR standards, the chip delivers data rates at 366 Mb/s, a rate that is 30% faster than standard DDR266 DRAM. Keeping power consumption to a minimum, it teams power-saving trench technology with power-management features such as temperature-compensated self refresh, partial-array self refresh, an on-chip temperature sensor, and a deep power-down mode. Engineering samples are available now. QIMONDA NORTH AMERICA CORP., San Jose, CA., (408) 501-7000.
