Supporting highly integrated 8051 microcontroller (MCU) designs, the Platform8051 currently consists of six pre-integrated and pre-verified IP cores, including the latest Core8051 8-bit MCU, Core10/100 Ethernet protocol transceiver/controller, CoreI2C two-wire master/slave serial interface, CoreSPI point-to-point master/slave serial interface, CoreSDLC synchronous serial interface, and the Core16X50 UART. The embedded system platform is optimized for use with the company's FPGAs and is said to yield flexible embedded systems for consumer, communications, industrial, automotive, military, and aerospace applications. Also available is the Platform8051 Development Kit that includes the IP cores, software, and target silicon. Single-use price for all six cores is $25,000.
