Widening the company’s established ST7232x general-purpose MCU portfolio are five, 3V flash and ROM devices that are pin-to-pin compatible with their 5V counterparts. The added devices operate on a 2.85V to 3.6V power supply, over the -40°C to +85°C temperature range in standard or automotive grades. They are available with 8, 16, or 32 KB of flash program memory or 8 KB or 16 KB of ROM. Each provides four power saving modes, and includes two 16-bit timers plus a watchdog timer and real-time clock, SCI and SPI interfaces, and a 10-bit a/d converter with up to 12 input channels. Additionally, they include a reset circuit with a user-settable low voltage detector. Available in TQFP44, TQFP32, and SDIP32s, prices range from $0.90 to $1.70 each/100,000.
