Sad news from this past Thursday for R&D in engineering and the sciences:

NSF just cut off all funding until further notice (link below).

If you'd like to share some stories about NSF's funding of your work, either past or present, and/or if you've been affected by this latest attack on the future of our industry in America, please shoot me an email and I'll try to pull these together in my next blog. 

Though I may quote some of the material you send, I can't put names to it without getting contributor releases signed, so I'd prefer not to go there with legal forms and chasing signatures that can compromise both the schedule as well as the content I've written. So, any quoted material from your emails or stories you've shared will not have your name on them if I decide to publish them.

So, don't be shy - go ahead and tell me your story, the impact, how NSF funding could or did, change society, technology, science, engineering, knowledge, tools, infrastructure, etc.

Preferably email to me no later than the end of this week - today is even better.
