Hi,
The SEMA show starts today in Las Vegas and runs through the 7th, with the last day being open to the public. I got a scoop on a new drive unit for EV conversions that uses a Tesla Model 3 motor and a planetary gear reduction.
That combo along with a remoted, custom-housed, Model 3 traction inverter enables it to fit in the transmission tunnel of most EV conversions, freeing up the engine compartment for goodies like the HV traction battery.
Certain components affect the accuracy of the voltage produced by a swicthing power supply - learn which parts affect the output the most.
Bourns automotive-grade, AEC-Q200-compliant SMD power inductors claim high current density in a low-profile form factor.
Our sister publication, Energy Tech, reports that EV sales in the US busted 10% market share in a 3rd quarter surge, primarily due to the rush of buyers capitalizing on expiring Federal tax credits. Seems the current crop of Feds want us shoveling coal into boilers to get to work/school. Though this may sound absurd, so is burning stuff internally to get us from A to B when the world now has higher-efficiency propulsion tech that uses sun, wind, and hydro as energy sources to move us around.
have a great week,

p.s. I shared a couple of interesting articles on the Internet that I came across. May do that now and then if you find them interesting.
