Hello,

There's been a lot of excitement at CES 2026 in Las Vegas with Donut Labs seeming to have hit the jackpot with a claims of a Solid State Battery that is the first to appear in a vehicle that's in production. I have my doubts, so check out my CES 2026 Special Edition Blog, below.

Also at CES, Nordic Semiconductor has announced a highly intergrated ARM processor that has a bunch of cool peripherals on it including USB, Bluetooth LE (with sounding, aka ranging), a bunch of GPIO and...an NPU. Decode those driver gestures, if you dare interpret some of them in traffic.

And finally, our resident hippie and author of a book on how to think green in product design, Lee Goldberg, does a quick economic damage assessment as we've spent three decades trying to keep carbon emissions minimized.
