A new porcelain and ceramic dielectric multilayer capacitor (MLC) is claimed to provide industry-leading performance for high Q, low ESR, and high self-resonance in an 0603 package at voltages up to 250 Vdc. Designated the SQCS Series, the chips are well-suited for RF/microwave applications ranging from 1 MHz to 10 GHz, including power amplifiers, filters, low-noise amplifiers and GPS. And since the SQCS Series demonstrates NPO characteristics, it fits well with applications where performance needs to be maintained despite the possibility of extreme temperature changes. The capacitor has an operating temperature range of -55°C to +125°C. Capacitance range of the series is 0.1 pF to 100 pF. Pricing ranges from $0.04 to $0.50, depending on volume and tolerance. Delivery is stock to six weeks. AVX Corp., Myrtle Beach, SC. (843) 448-9411.
