EXCLUSIVE TO EEPN- Significantly lower capacitor impedance for output ripple reductions in switchmode power supplies is featured in the ZA and ZL Series of electrolytic capacitors. Both series contain an ethylene glycol-based electrolyte that is said to account for a 40% average reduction in impedance in the case of the ZL Series devices compared with the company's existing JXA Series capacitors. The ZA Series capacitors offer impedance that's one-third that of the JXA types. Values range from 4.7 µF to 1000 µF with voltage ratings of 6.3V to 35V. The ultra-long-life ZL types offer extended load lives of 2000 to 5000 hours at 105°C and voltage ratings of up to 50V. A surface-mount series (ZAV) is forthcoming.
