Designed to withstand the range of temperatures found in automotive environments, the WA80Z series flameproof, surface-mount power resistors are said to be an economical alternative to molded components. With an operating temperature range from –55°C to +155°C, they can be customized for specific fusing or pulse handling characteristics. The resistors meet the TS16949: 2002 standard and are available with power ratings of 2W, 3W, and 5W in values from 10 m? to 6.8 k? and with tolerances to 1%. Typical pricing is $0.35 each/1,000 with lead times from stock to six weeks. IRC INC., Boone, NC. (828) 264-8861.
