A new SMT air coil inductor series includes a broad range of inductance values, operating well into the GHz frequency range. Designated the GL06, GL12, GL15 and GL25 series, it is well suited for PCS/telecommunications, wireless LAN, GPS, and medical electronic equipment designs. With high Q and wide operating temperature range, this inductor can be used for radio interference suppression devices, impedance matching, and filtering. Inductance values range from 1.65 to 538 nH. A flat epoxy layer along the top surface of the coil ensures inductance stability while enabling ease of pick and place operations. Pricing is $0.188 each/5,000.
