A new series of inductors has been introduced in a rugged, miniature, surface-mount package for use in computers, telecommunications, medical devices, and instrumentation. The DR339-X inductor series spans an inductance range of from 0.47 to 100 µH, a rated current range of from 19.0A to 0.47A, and DCR values of 0.0097 ohms to 1.1090 ohms. They are also said to offer a combination of high-performance filtering and advanced packaging, enabling the inductors to deliver high dc current handling capabilities for switching power supplies and dc/dc converters. The series also offers a low profile, flat top, circular design and is available on tape-and-reel packaging. The DR339-X inductors are made using UL94V0 materials and operate over a -40° to +85°C temperature range. Price is $0.28 each in quantities of 10,000 pieces, depending upon options.
