For managing the increasing output current of power converters, the company’s unique technology employs planar transformers within an extended power range from a few kW to 10 kW. The technology is specifically applicable for full-bridge topologies with high input voltages, i.e., 500V to 1 kV, and switching frequencies between 70 kHz to 160 kHz. As an example, main characteristics for a 2:1, 10-kW/100-kHz transformer include a maximum transformer size of 148.5 mm x 67 mm x 31 mm, less than 35W of losses at 100°C, low leakage inductance values, easy mounting via M5 screws, bus-bar connections for M4 screws, compliance with many standards, and high isolation. Typical applications include power systems for machine-tools, laser cutting or punching systems, and medical appliances. PREMO GROUP, Barcelona, Spain, +34 934 098 980.
