Wet Tantalum Caps Employ Hermetic Seals
Targeting high-reliability applications, the 136D wet tantalum capacitors feature glass-to-tantalum hermetic seals and operate over a temperature range from -55°C to 85°C, or to +200°C with voltage derating. They specify ESRs down to 0.44Ω at 120 Hz and +25°C. The capacitors are commercial equivalents of military-style CLR90 and CLR91 devices, which meet the performance requirements of military specifications MIL-PRF-39006/30 and 39006/31. They are available in capacitances from 1.7 µF to 2200 µF in C, F, T, and K case codes and capacitance tolerances of ±20% standard at 120 Hz and +25°C with tolerances of ± 10 % and ± 5 % available. Additionally, the series features standard tin/lead terminations with RoHS-compliant tin terminations available. Pricing ranges from $20 to $50 each. VISHAY INTERTECHNOLOGY, INC., Malvern, PA.
