240W AC/DC Supply Suits Datacom Apps

March 1, 2003
A four-channel ac/dc power supply, the new DAT240 series is designed to deliver two low-voltage, high-current outputs of 50A each from voltages as low as 1.5V. The 240W converter measures 7"L x 4.5"W x 1.35"H, giving it a power density of 5.6 W/in.3

A four-channel ac/dc power supply, the new DAT240 series is designed to deliver two low-voltage, high-current outputs of 50A each from voltages as low as 1.5V. The 240W converter measures 7"L x 4.5"W x 1.35"H, giving it a power density of 5.6 W/in.3 and making it well suited for 1U requirements including datacom and telecom apps. The four outputs consist of two dedicated channels for supporting 1.5V to 3.3V outputs at 50A per channel. The remaining channels provide 5V at 5A and 12V at 4A for powering analog circuitry or fans. To minimize output losses and reduce system cooling requirements, the series utilizes synchronous rectification technology with ultra-low resistance MOSFETs. Pricing for DAT240 series supplies is $275/1,000. XP-IQ INC., Holliston, MA. (508) 429-9883.
