Suitable for large batteries needing to maintain proper charge levels, FlatPAC and BatMod have been combined into one compact, low-profile, efficient unit rated up to 600W. The charger is well-suited for hospital emergency power groups, telecommunications central premises, or any uninterruptible dc power supply. The BatMod is a building block for constructing an advanced battery management system, typically using a µP-based control circuit that can be easily adapted for a variety of battery chemistries and monitoring functions. The µP-controlled FlatPAC combines firm's dc-to-dc converters and front-end subassemblies.
