Claimed to be the industry's first DIN-rail mountable dc/dc converter, the 12S24.850DIN takes a 12-V power source and converts it to 24V. The unit is housed in a compact plastic enclosure, measures 1.37" x 3.35" x 2.27", and has screw terminals for easy field wiring.
With a wide input range of 9 to 18V, output current is up to 850 mA, more than enough to drive a variety of process control and signal-conditioning devices. Input current at no load is 12 mA and the input current at maximum load is 2.2 A.
Other features include an efficiency of 78%, isolation voltage of 700 vdc, output-voltage setpoint accuracy of ±3%, a load and line regulation of 1%, and a load transient recovery time of 750 µs. The device costs $71.50 each/one to nine pieces.
