Mini DC/DC Converters Deliver 1.5W

April 9, 2007
Measuring 12.7 mm x 12.7 mm x 10.2 mm and weighing 4g, the BPS series isolated dc/dc converters crank out up to 1.5W of output power and are said to exhibit five times better efficiency and ten times better load regulation than similar converters.

Measuring 12.7 mm x 12.7 mm x 10.2 mm and weighing 4g, the BPS series isolated dc/dc converters crank out up to 1.5W of output power and are said to exhibit five times better efficiency and ten times better load regulation than similar converters. Both through-hole and surface-mount versions are available. Accepting a single input voltage, configurable from 3V to 12V, they deliver a single configurable output voltage from 50V to 220V and operate in temperatures from -55°C to +85°C with no heat sink or derating required. Load regulation is a 3% change from no load to full load, and typical efficiency is 90%. Price starts at $65 each in volume. For more details, call Peter Growney at BEAR POWER SUPPLIES, Phelps, NY.
