The Aurora string combiners support paralleling and integrated current measurement for up to 20 photovoltaic strings. They provide a 200 to 850 Vdc input range, fuse protection for both positive and negative connections, overvoltage protection with a replaceable varistor cartridge, IP65-rated enclosures, and a 0 to 95% relative-humidity operating range. Options include a dc-output switch and analog inputs for up to four external sensors such as irradiance, temperature, and wind speed. Via RS-485 communications, the components support remote monitoring of critical operating parameters including string currents, array voltage, fuse status, internal temperature, environmental sensor readings, and overvoltage-protection status. Pricing is $3,000 each/50. POWER-ONE INC., Camarillo, CA. (866) 969-3438.
