25 A Phase Control Stud Thyristors Provided In TO-48 Package

June 25, 2014
Medium power, single-phase silicon controlled rectifiers, with 25 A current handling, provide enhanced glass passivation with low thermal resistance and high dl/dt and dV/dt capabilities.

America Semiconductor’s 25RIA Series of medium power, phase control thyristors are single-phase silicon controlled rectifiers (SCR) supplied in a standard TO-48 package. With a current handling capability to 25 A, the SCRs provide enhanced glass passivation to maximize stability and reliability at high temperatures, while also boasting low thermal resistance and high dl/dt and dV/dt capabilities. The stud thyristors are optimized for employment in ac/dc converters, dc power supplies, machine tool controls, and other high-reliability consumer and industrial applications. Parts are offered in voltages ranging from 100 V to 1200 V with a maximum repetitive peak and off-state voltage range from 100 V to 1200 V. Their maximum non-repetitive peak voltage range is from 150 V to 1300 V. Maximum on-state voltage is 1.70 V and dc gate current required to trigger is 60 mA. Weighing approximately 14 g, the thyristors feature a maximum operating junction and storage temperature range of -65°C to 125°C. Parts are manufactured of silver-tone metal, and metric threads versions are available.
