Promising precision monitoring for portable applications, the MAX9610 high-side, current-sense amplifier uses a precision input stage to achieve an extended 1.6V to 5.5V input common-mode range and consumes 1 µA of supply current. It also specifies a maximum 500-?V VOS and a maximum ±0.5% gain error. Available in microDFN and SC70 packages, the device offers three gain options: 25V/V, 50V/V, and 100V/V. An optional external sense resistor sets the maximum sense voltage at full-scale load current. Prices start at $0.64 each/1,000. MAXIM INTEGRATED PRODUCTS, Sunnyvale, CA. (800) 998-8800.
