LDO Regulators Juggle Three Inputs

Using the company's SmartOR technology, the CMPWR 280 and 300 low drop out (LDO) regulators give continuous 3.3V output power from one of three supplies determined by system requirements. The supply is automatically selected by an internal controller.

Using the company's SmartOR technology, the CMPWR 280 and 300 low drop out (LDO) regulators give continuous 3.3V output power from one of three supplies determined by system requirements. The supply is automatically selected by an internal controller. An internal LDO regulator in each device gives a 3.3V output from a 5V input, while an external (CMPWR280) or and internal (CMPWR300) switch controls the operation of a 3.3V auxillary input. Pricing is $0.96 for the CMPWR300 and $1.22 for the CMPWR280, each/10,000 with production times of six weeks ARO.
