Low-Current Op-Amp Brings Wide Voltage Range To Battery-Powered Apps

Feb. 20, 2014
The TLV271 single-channel, rail-to-rail output op amp can become a drop-in replacement for alternative industry-standard parts.

The TLV271 single-channel, rail-to-rail output op amp can become a drop-in replacement for alternative industry-standard parts. Developed by Diodes Inc., the device maintains a 2.7- to 16-V operating range to support a variety of battery- and low-powered consumer and industrial applications. Its 550-µA quiescent current helps minimize power consumption over a 2-MHz gain bandwidth and 1.4-V/µs slew rate. With enhanced stability and phase margin, capacitive loads of up to 100 pF can be driven without a nulling resistor. The CMOS device’s high input impedance and minimized bias current suits it for numerous signal sensors. Operating temperature ranges from 0 to +70°C (commercial) and ‒40 to +125°C (industrial). Packaging options include SOT23-5 and SO8.
