Programmable Power-Supply Series Ramps Up To 650-V Output

June 26, 2014
High-voltage models added to TDK-Lambda’s Z+ series of 200- and 400-W programmable dc power supplies offer output voltages of up to 160, 320, or 650 V dc, extending from the previous 100 V dc maximum.

High-voltage models added to TDK-Lambda’s Z+ series of 200- and 400-W programmable dc power supplies offer output voltages of up to 160, 320, or 650 V dc, extending from the previous 100 V dc maximum. The new models have the same features and dimensions (2U high and 2.76 in. wide) as the existing models, and achieve efficiencies up to 86%. They operate in either constant-current or constant-voltage mode, and will accept a universal 85- to 265-V ac input. Up to six units can be connected in parallel (master-slave configuration), or two identical units in series with external diodes. All models are programmable via front-panel controls, or remotely with the USB, RS-232/485, or analog-control interfaces. Optional LAN, GPIB, and isolated analog programming interfaces are available, too. The Z+ series is CE marked for the EMC, Low Voltage, and RoHS Directives. Applications include deposition processes, remotely operated underwater vehicles, ATE systems, and general laboratory and industrial settings.
