product pic

Based on the firm's multi-bit Delta-Sigma technology, the AK4380 24-bit stereo audio D/A converter offers high linearity, preserving the THD+N specified at 88 dB for this device. It operates at sampling rates up to 96 kHz with a dynamic range specified at 100 dB.
The audio DAC also offers a de-emphasis filter, a second order analog low-pass filter, and a soft mute. The AK4380 chip requires a 5V supply, dissipates only 70 mW of power, and has a -40°C to 85°C operating temperature range. Suitable for use in both cost-sensitive consumer and professional audio systems, the DAC comes housed in a 16-pin TSSOP costing $1.59 each/5000. Prototype quantities are available now.
