A/D Converter Targets Wide Range Of Applications

Claiming to be the industry's first eight-channel, 16-bit A/D converter, the ADS8344 is suitable for many applications such as data acquisition, test and measurement, industrial process control, and battery-operated systems. The device requires 5 mW with a 2.7V supply and 10 mW with a 5V supply when operating at its full 100 kHz sampling rate. The device includes a shutdown mode that reduces power dissipation to under 3 µW. Other features include a SINAD of 84 dB and a synchronous serial interface. Pricing is from $7.50 each/1,000 with delivery from stock.
