Designed as an open system, Simplorer version 4.1 is an analysis and design package featuring the direct combination of circuit and system simulation in one tool. Equipped with a sophisticated GUI, the tool is based on simulation backplane technology, coupling numerical algorithms for different physical domains with data exchange and time step synchronization. This offers the user a maximum in modeling flexibility. It is easy to combine any electronic circuit with a block diagram for the control and state graphs. These descriptions can be used simultaneously as the simulator automatically takes care of all necessary connections and data exchanges. The numerical algorithms guarantee up to 10x faster simulation times when compared to SPICE-based simulation tools.
