Cabinets House Small LAN and WAN Networking Equipment

Oct. 1, 2002

Though they fit under a standard modular desk surface, two new 19" Small Office/Home Office (SOHO) Networking Cabinets house small LAN and WAN networking equipment, phone and voice mail devices, and servers. Available in two depths (23.62" and 35.43"), both cabinets accommodate up to 12 rack units of EIA standard 19" rack-mount DataCom devices. An integrated passive cooling system draws cool air via louvers in the cabinet base, creating a “chimney effect” by exhausting hot air through vents in the rear door. Optional 4" fans increase the air flow, extending the life of components. SOHO cabinets have casters for easy access and relocation, lockable and removable hinged door and side panels, and a smoked acrylic window in the front door. Panels and doors fit flush to a steel frame with four rack angle mounting struts. In the rear of the cabinet, an adjustable gland plate relieves cable strain. A black powder coat finish covers the units, inside and out. HOFFMAN, Anoka, MN. (800) 355-3560.
