A family of High Frequency Micro-D Coax Connectors (MDHC) feature a low VSWR up to 40 GHz (typical). The connectors have a constant 50-O airline impedance interface and are 30% smaller than the company’s SCX coaxial connectors. The ultra-miniature MDHC contacts allow multiple high-density connections in a Micro-D style shell for applications where tight space and weight savings are critical. Maximum overall diameter of the contacts is 0.133 in. and they are fitted into a low-profile metalized housing. The MDHC coaxial contacts are a drop-in replacement for the company’s MDCX rf contacts with an increased frequency range from10 GHz to 40 GHz. The connectors are also available with locking post mechanisms or a blind-mate hardware attachment. Insert arrangements available include 2-, 4-, 6-, 8-, and 10-way coax assemblies as well as mixed-signal, power, coax, and high-speed twinax for hybrid arrangements. SABRITEC, Irvine, CA.
