The LPC314x and LPC315x microcontrollers are the latest additions to the LPC31xx series of ARM9-based MCUs. The LPC314x MCUs consist of two devices: the LPC3141 and LPC3143. The LPC3141 has a secure one-time-programmable memory providing a unique ID, the ability to store secure keys and USB product IDs, and the option to access JTAG securely. The LPC3143 adds a 128-bit AES Decryption Engine to the LPC3141, providing a mechanism to boot securely from NAND flash, SPI-flash, SD/MMC, eMMC/eSD, and managed NAND devices. The LPC315x MCUs also consist of two devices: the LPC3152 and LPC3154. The LPC3152 adds a stereo audio CODEC with Class AB headphone amplifier, power supply unit, and Li-ion charger to the LPC3141 feature set, allowing designers to maximize power savings without sacrificing performance or cost. The LPC3154 adds a 128-bit AES Decryption Engine to the LPC3152, allowing users to boot securely from NAND flash, SPI-flash, SD/MMC, eMMC/eSD, and managed NAND devices. The LPC314x and LPC315x MCUs are available in June. Pricing ranges from $4.49 to $5.99 in quantities of 10,000. NXP SEMICONDUCTORS, Eindhoven, The Netherlands. +31 40 27 29999.
