Frequency Synthesizers Have Low Phase Noise Specs

Feb. 1, 2001

These HFS-Series low phase noise frequency synthesizers cover both up- and down-converter mixer local oscillator applications. Ideally suited for use in ISM, GSM, WLL and MMDS/LMDS system transceivers, these products are available in fixed frequency or externally programmable versions covering the frequency range (in bands) from 40 MHz to over 8 GHz. Other features include fast switching speeds in step sizes of 50 KHz to 2.5 MHz and typical phase noise characteristics of -95 dBc/Hz at 10 KHz offset and -120 dBc/Hz at 100 KHz offset. The HFS-Series frequency synthesizers are housed in a 1.25" x 1.00" x 0.25" SMT package and operate over a -30°C to 70°C temperature range.
