Hyperabrupt Junction Tuning Varactor Designed For 3V Platforms

Oct. 1, 2001

Specifically designed for 3V platforms, the new SMV1763-079 silicon hyperabrupt junction varactor diode features a high-capacitance ratio and low-reserve voltage, making it well-suited for low-phase noise VCOs in wireless systems up to and beyond 2.5 GHz. Applications for the tuning varactor include low-cost battery applications such as low-noise and wideband UHF and VHF VCOs for WCDMA, GSM, PCS, and analog phones. Manufactured in the ultra small SC-79 package and available in tape and reel, pricing is $0.21 each/100,000. ALPHA INDUSTRIES, Haverhill, MA. (781) 935-5150.
