Low-Power Voltage Detector Has Internal Delay

April 1, 2001

Developed using a CMOS process, the S-801 Series consists of low-power, high-precision voltage detectors with internal delays. The detection voltage is fixed internally, with an accuracy of ±2.0%. An internal oscillator and timer can delay the release signal for a fixed time with no external attachment part. The series has three typical delay times of 50, 100 and 200 ms with two output types: active low open-drain and active low push-pull. The devices can be used as a power monitor in portable equipment, such as notebook computers, digital cameras, PDAs, portable phones, MP3 players, set-top boxes, and GPS receivers; it can also be used a reset for CPUs. Power consumption is 1.3 µA (typ.). Price: $0.37 each/1,000.
