Offered as an option to the company's CAMCAD Professional, SchematicLink provides the ability to link industry standard schematic files to popular layout files. Most CAE systems are supported through the EDIF 200 standard and ViewLogic file format. CAD systems are supported in their native formats.
The option allows cross probing of signals and components on either the CAE schematic or CAD layout file. The cross highlite tracks gates and nets through all schematic pages and layout layers. The company claims that this will allow the entire design team to share logical and physical data in one common environment.
SchematicLink is free to all existing CAMCAD Professional users with applicable readers and current maintenance agreements. CAE and CAD readers can be purchased individually or under a subscription license.
