Over-Current Protection Component Handles UL 1950 Apps

March 1, 2000

Claimed as the first over-current protection component to be recognized for UL 1950 applications, the TS600-200 surface-mount devices have been tested and determined to be in compliance with the 100 A2-s limiting and 1.3 A limiting power cross protection requirements of the safety standards. This recognition means that the use of the devices, together with a suitable Fire Enclosure, satisfies the power cross requirements of UL 1950 3rd Edition and UL60950 3rd Edition with no additional testing required. In addition, the firm's also offers the PolySwitch TR600 product family of components for users requiring radial-leaded solutions. This family of products may be used to gain approval through the testing path of UL1950. Call for pricing.
