In an effort to better support customers in the Southeast, considered the largest electronic sub-contract manufacturing region in the United States, power conversion specialist Newport Components Inc. has signed an agreement with manufacturer's representative Rep-One Associates Inc. Under terms of the agreement, Rep-One will address requirements for Newport's dc/dc converter products in the sub-contract manufacturing communities in North and South Carolina, Tennessee, Mississippi, Alabama and Georgia. The new appointment is part of Newport's strategy for rapid growth in the U.S. through the appointment of distributors and technically-qualified electronic professionals.
