SMT Fine-Pitch Connectors Address Need For FPC-To-PCB Interconnects

Oct. 1, 1999

Addressing the need for compact, cost-effective, flexible printed circuit (FPC) to PCB interconnects is a family of surface-mount fine-pitch FPC connectors. Based on 0.5-mm pitch, the series includes the 0500, top entry ZIF format, the 0501 side-entry ZIF format, and the 0502, top-entry non-ZIF format. Molded from high-temperature resins, the connector also features single-row, double-point contacts with integrated hold-down tabs for high electrical reliability.
