Users of SolidWorks CAD software will benefit from the latest version of firm's Toolbox/SE, which automates and streamlines frequently used mechanical engineering tasks in the program. Version 5.0 features time-saving functionality that includes the ability to pick an assembly, indicate the location for a hole, and see the hole placed automatically through all appropriate parts in the solid model. Also new are automatic hardware mating functions for faster assembly creation, a new bearing life calculator, PEM inserts, and hole feature edit capability.The toolbox comes with advanced hole types, screws, washers, nuts, pins and bolts. Steel sections include angles, channels, I beams, pipes, tees and tubing. Also included are: solid threads for bolts and screws; a groove feature for adding snap rings and o-rings; support for SolidWorks cosmetic threads in hardware and hole features; hole note support; and support for hole and hardware in assemblies.
