Twin Slots Make Connections Redundant

Aug. 1, 1999

Series NR IDC connectors for high-density applications have twin U-shaped slots that provide redundancy for higher integrity connections. Strain relief is achieved on the housing, separate and properly distanced from the IDC connection, for extra reliability under harsh mechanical stresses. Contacts are phosphor-bronze, tin-lead plated and rated for 2A ac or dc at 250V. Connectors come with 2 to 13 circuits and are for 28, 26, 24 or 22 AWG. Housing material is glass-filled Nylon 66 rated UL94V-0. Operating temperature range is -25° to 85°C. Series XH mating shrouded headers for top or side mounting are available.
