A 16-channel version of the company’s SerDes test modules for VPX systems enables testing and pre-emphasis of SerDes signals to ensure signal performance. The module plugs into VPX backplanes and directly tests channel compliance as well as VPX switch and node cards and/or the backplane channels without requiring external equipment or special test fixtures. Via a USB connection, users can create eye diagrams, measure bit-error rates, and jitter. Additionally, the module kit includes software with a simple GUI interface. The company also provides SerDes test modules in other architectures and form factors including ATCA, VXS, and MicroTCA. ELMA ELECTRONIC INC., Fremont, CA. (510) 656-3400.
