In a 1U-high, 19" wide package with no top or bottom air vents, the N5700 series dc power supplies output up to 1.5 kW, a figure said to represent the industry's highest power density. The series consists of 24 models that provide voltage and current measurements from 6V to 600V and 1.3A to 180A, respectively. For greater output current or voltage, they are configurable for parallel or series operation and each accepts a universal ac input with power factor correction. Other features include an array of standard I/O, including LAN, USB, and GPIB. In addition, the supplies integrate a web server and graphical user interface for remote operation and monitoring via the Internet. Single-unit prices start at $2,300.
