Created in conjunction with Innowireless and based on the company's E6651A mobile WiMAX test set, the Agilent IEEE 802.16e 2005 Protocol Conformance Test (PCT) solution will enable WiMAX designers to verify protocol implementations and get products to market quickly. Equipped with the PCT, the E6651A test set allows users to run validated protocol test cases to verify that their implementations conform to WiMAX standards. They can also create custom TTCN-3 test cases to stress the limits of their designs. The company plans to support subscriber station testing for WiMAX profiles 1A and 3A in June, while basestation testing and other WiMAX profiles will be supported in future releases. Available by mid-year, pricing is dependent on specific system configuration and is available upon request. AGILENT TECHNOLOGIES INC., Palo Alto, CA. (800) 235-0312.
