The new Vantis component placement platform targets the needs of small- to mid-size manufacturers, such as makers of consumer electronics, audio-visual equipment, and peripheral products. Vantis is built on the same foundation as the GSM platform, but without the many features required by larger manufacturers, reducing the price of the machine. The platform incorporates a single-beam positioning system and supports a limited number of heads, cameras and configurations. A choice of 7-spindle high-speed or 4-spindle flexible heads serves to accommodate a wide component range.
