The new G2 Genie instrument is designed to perform a complete suite of standard electrical safety tests, including earth bond, AC/DC hipot, and insulation resistance tests. The tester incorporates outputs that are fully isolated from the ground connection, enabling multiple test connections to be established with the product under test. It can apply tests individually or set to handle automatic sequences, including multi-test profiles that can be stored in the unit’s internal memory. The G2 Genie can be configured by scanning pre-defined bar codes as test codes, making the equipment suitable for ISO traceable applications when used in QA, conformance or production line settings. The unit has selectable 50 or 60 Hz frequencies for hipot testing and also offers a 30A constant current, low voltage ground bond test capability.
