Previously available with a bandwidth up to 24 GHz, the 6845 microwave system analyzer has been enhanced via the 6845 Group Delay option that adds group delay measurements and frequency modulation up to 46 GHz. The optional module plugs into a slot in the instrument and provides a group-delay range from 1 ns to 10 µs with a resolution on 0.1 ns and an absolute accuracy of 0.5 ns. Accuracy is said to be generally greater than 0.1 ns when making comparative peak-to-peak measurements. Frequency modulation from the source is 0.1 Hz to 500 kHz. The group delay module, option 22, is priced at $8,500. IFR SYSTEMS, INC., Wichita, KA. (800) 835-2352.
