The Wave Generator Xpress, a USB2.0 arbitrary digital waveform generator, measures 55 mm x 80 mm x 16 mm in its anodized aluminum case and generates arbitrary digital signals up to 16 bits and a 100-MB depth per run at rates up to 50 Msample/s, 11 MB/s sustained. Six extra digital control lines can handle I/O clock signals and generate repetitive sequences. Control functions are via GUI-based, 8PI Control Panel Software. The software is compatible with Windows 2000/XP/Vista and provides multiple graphical and programming protocols plus options for generating unique stimuli from binary or text files to whole algorithms programmed in TCl/tk, C/C++, Visual Basic, and others.
