- For existing AVR users familiar with Atmel Studio 7, some similarities and differences with MPLAB X are emphasized.
- New MPLAB X features, such as Kit recognition, IO View and Datasheet Context help are introduced.
Glen Nilsen, MCU8 Tools Product Marketing Manager, Microchip
Glen Nilsen is the Tools Product Marketing Manager for Microchip’s MCU8 Business Unit. After working for 5 years as an Arrow FAE in South Africa, in 2010 he moved to Trondheim (Norway) to work for Atmel. Since then he worked largely in training and for 4 years ran Atmel’s FAE and customer training program. In the last 3 years he has transitioned to development tools, to “make the tools need less training”. Video has become a significant focus, both for usability improvement with development teams, and for customer on-demand training, e.g. Getting Started with MPLAB X – Developing with AVR.
